I hate to be a bearer of bad news but it sounds like you might have sleep apnea. This means you stop breathing off and on while you are asleep. One of the side effects is really bad snoring. the good news is that you can treat it easily by a simple operation (about on the level of having your tonsils out) or by using a machine called a CPAP machine. It blows air down your throat while you are asleep so that your throat cannot close and stop breathing. Your best bet is a talk with your doctor and a sleep study done. They will monitor you while you sleep and see if you DO stop breathing…

It worked out well for me. Good luck!

Weight and alcohol will make snoring worst, are they the cause of your snoring?

In additional, Avoid Alcohol and Fatty products before bed Alcohol is a muscle relaxant which can cause the relaxation of throat muscles and worsen snoring. Avoid high-fat dairy milk products before sleeping as the fatty retained in the throat which more likely lead to snoring.
